It is the work of getting your firm cited when a buyer asks ChatGPT, Perplexity or Google’s AI Overviews who to hire, rather than only ranking in a list of links. We do that for professional services firms and specialist practices, and automate the marketing that keeps it running.
Benchmarked against 3 named competitors

I'm Frank Manza, founder of Organic Inbound. Through years of extensive studying and research into how AI models retrieve, rank, and cite information, I've developed deep technical expertise in AI response optimization, the discipline of making businesses visible and authoritative inside ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, and the next generation of answer engines.
Organic Inbound exists to help firms do exactly that. We combine deep technical SEO with the disciplines most agencies are still catching up to: marketing automation, AI search optimization, and the new frontier of GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) and AEO (Answer Engine Optimization). The goal isn't more traffic. It's the right traffic, converting, on autopilot.
Because ranking and being cited have come apart. The question that used to produce ten blue links now produces one paragraph, and that paragraph names a handful of firms. Holding position five is no longer the same as being in the answer, and the gap between the two is where most professional services pipelines are quietly leaking.
Only 38% of the pages cited in Google AI Overviews rank in the top 10 organically.
Ahrefs, February 2026
On keywords that trigger an AI Overview, the click-through rate for the top organic result falls from 7.3% to 1.6%.

AI visibility and marketing automation are the two we lead with. The other two are the foundation that makes them work.
Get cited when your buyers ask AI who to hire.
Your buyers ask ChatGPT and Perplexity before they ask you. We make sure your firm is the one those systems name, using technical accessibility, structured data and entity work.
Explore AI VisibilityFlagshipMarketing that runs without you running it.
Marketing that competes with billable work never wins. We audit where your effort is going, then automate the parts that should never have needed a person in the first place.
Explore Marketing AutomationThe foundation the other two are built on.
Technical SEO, content architecture and conversion work on the site you already have. Strong foundations make AI visibility easier. They no longer guarantee it.
Explore SEO & CROAuthority on the platforms your buyers actually use.
Platform chosen by where your buyers are, never by default. For most professional services firms that means LinkedIn, but we check rather than assume.
Ask us about itWe built this for one kind of client: the professional services firm or specialist practice where expertise is what gets sold. The work looks different in a compliance consultancy than it does in a commercial law practice, but the shape of the problem is the same.
Risk and compliance consultancies, accounting and advisory practices, commercial and B2B law, and independent specialist practices. Usually one to fifty people, usually founder or partner led.
You sell judgment and specialist knowledge rather than a product or a seat licence. What your firm knows is the reason clients pick it over the one down the road.
You already have a site with real content behind it. We optimize and extend what is there, redesigning and rebuilding individual pages where they need it, rather than starting from a blank page.
Your prospects ask questions before they ask for names. Those are the questions AI now answers without a click, which is why you can feel the traffic going.
Who we are not for: firms that want paid ads run, and firms that want a brand new website designed from the ground up. We work on what you already have, and we work either as your marketing function or as the specialist alongside it.
A risk management consultancy went from 2.4 website leads a month to 4.3, with 83% more conversions in 3 months of organic website optimization and no paid ads.
This engagement was SEO and conversion optimization.
We test how you appear across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Gemini and Copilot, benchmarked against three named competitors. Most firms have never seen this and it is usually the moment the problem becomes real.
Crawler access and rendering first, because nothing else matters if the systems cannot read you. Then structured data and entity work, then the content restructuring that makes a page quotable.
Citation presence decays. Pages updated within three months average roughly 6 citations against 3.6 for pages left alone, so freshness runs on a schedule rather than when someone remembers.
Answer engine optimization is the practice of getting a business cited and recommended by AI systems like ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google's AI Overviews, rather than only ranked by a traditional search engine. It combines technical work that makes content readable to AI crawlers, structured data that establishes who you are, and writing that a retrieval system can quote cleanly.
Because an AI Overview now answers the question above your listing. Ahrefs found in February 2026 that only 38% of pages cited in AI Overviews rank in the top 10 organically, and that the click-through rate for the top organic result on those keywords fell from 7.3% to 1.6%. Your position held. The click went to the answer.
Three things have to be true. The crawlers that feed it need access to your site, which is a robots.txt and rendering question. Your firm needs to be identifiable as a specific organisation, which is a structured data and consistency question. And your pages need passages that answer a question completely on their own, because retrieval lifts passages rather than pages.
Firms whose buyers research before they commit, and who sell expertise rather than a product. If your clients arrive purely through referral and never search, this is not urgent yet. If they open ChatGPT before they open a browser tab, it already is, and the firms answering those questions well are the ones getting named.
We test five AI surfaces, benchmark you against three named competitors, and tell you why you are or are not being cited. It takes about 48 hours and costs nothing.
